Any art fair these days that specializes in classical modernism, contemporary art is bound to live mainly from the responsibility and commitment to quality of the participating galleries. First-rate works of art and outstanding artistic positions presented with care and discernment are the key to maintaining consistently high standards. Second, the future of art fairs is likely to be determined by their boutique character and “glocal” approach, catering to a strong foundation of regional collectors. In addition, genuine hospitality and a determination to share with visitors of collectors a passion for art in all its permutations are crucial for the success of the fair.
The concept of the new Art Salon Zürich takes all these requirements into account and promises to be an innovative platform for galleries and dealers alike. Its focus is first and foremost on supply-side needs, its ultimate aim being to enhance their presence on the art market and to connect them with their target audiences.
